I took my Fusion Firearms 38 Super with me to the mountain yesterday.
I had not fired it in a year or 2. I bought this gun about 5 years ago, I had to adjust the extractor , 1st time out with it, but from then on it has run like a switch watch.
It is a all steel Commander size 1911, and comes well decked out from the factory, with a Checkered front strap, Novak style sights all the stuff you need nothing you don't. And they sell for an excellent price. Mine is the Freedom series, witch is the entry level, and comes stock with a flat black finish. The finish is not very durable but looks ok.
You can custom order the gun with a finish upgrade if you want, and if I order another 1911 from them I probably will.
The Gun came with a very nice zippered soft case with a bunch of Pockets. I have a bunch of mags, Wilson, mec gar, and 2 I cant remember where they came from.
I put about 80 rounds through it, it was flawless with all the mags. Sig 124 grain hardball, I had a target on a log 40 long paces away from my Jeep and I hit paper with all of my 1st 10 shots off hand.
That for me is dam good shooting, and it elevated my mood instantly !
Some no good *&^%$# had left some junk in my shooting spot, and that included some tin cans. I set them on a log and walked 15 paces away, and started knocking can's all over the forest. Such fun. Some times the can's would land in a place where only a small part was visible. One particular time I could see very little of a can, and the rest was hidden behind a log. These 124 grain .38 supers had chunks of log flying every where. I was impressed, and I was doing a lot more hitting than missing.
I like the gun and the cartridge. If primers become easy to get again, I will buy a Dillon press. I saved my brass, and have a good pile of it in a tub.
I have some Hollow point ammo and the gun feeds it well, so when I go grocery shopping today, This little gun will be on my hip, a 10 round Wilson mag and one in the chamber. Another Wilson mag in my Pocket.
I love revolvers, But I shoot 1911s way better, and armed with this very good little .38 super, I would be a vary dangerous person, to any bad man I came across.
A gun I am dreaming of is a 10mm with 2 top ends. A long slide with a Bomar rear and a Fiberoptic front and a 5 inch with night sites.
I wonder how much you gain with a 6 inch 10mm. And don't look now , but I think Fusion was working on a 7 inch ! ...tj
