357s always sing their Siren song to me, and I have a trained ear. Many is the 357 revolver that has found refuge in my domicile in the past 55 years, most of them 3" barrels or less. Well I've been selling off handguns for two years but I had to purchase one the other day. It's the Wiley Clapp GP100. Wiley was a combat Marine in Viet Nam and a Deputy Sheriff in Southern Cal before he became a full time gun writer. When he and Ruger put their heads together on the GP as a primary SD revolver they got it perfect in my book, so when one showed up in a local gun case a week ago I had to snatch it up. I walked past it twice and refused to stop. The third time I stopped and asked to hold it. Bought the gun and the story: I met the woman who consigned it to purchase a CZ Shadow, GP action tuned at Ruger after complaints of a rough DA by her. She is the original owner but now she is shooting one of those run and gun games with hubby so the GP goes. Grips by Jaruwan, these grips didn't fit my Match Champion, even after xacto knives and Dremel. Bolted right on to the WC. Whatever the hardwood is that he (Jaruwan) uses it is supremely dense and adds weight to an already heavy 357. Preliminary accuracy testing with 357s show promise of fine accuracy, a little better with the 158s over the 125s. No photos of targets, yet. But 15 yds DA is sweet with matching POA/POI and tight groups. Pics:

Fine Looking revolver, Love the sights. Not great for precision, But great for the design purpose of the gun. A gun that will do anything you can do with a revolver short of really big game. I like the Finish, ...tj

Love 3" 357s!
And 38s and 44 Specials...
A friend has the Wiley Clapp SP101 and has nothing but good to say about it. I think they got the features right on these.
