Very nice Smiths in a good barrel length @ 5.5" I see you use a fiber optic front sight there is a fiber optic adjustable rear sight available

I would imagine that there is, but I will leave the factory rear sight on. I think it is perfect for the kind of hunting/shooting I do. It picks up nicely against the sagebrush.

Mackay,
Robert Culp dying this week reminded me the reason I got a nickeled 8 3/8th in. M29-2 instead of a 4- or 6.5-in. blued was because of his movie "Hickey and Boggs" with Cosby. The one where they carried their long-barreled N-Frames around in paper sacks.
At any rate, I've killed one whitetail with the old Long Tom and rarely mess with it anymore. Who bobbed your 29-2? I kinda think I might like to do that with my big ol' hoss pistol.

SDM Fabricating did the work. He narrowed the wide trigger as well. I have been very pleased with his work.

No, just a little warranty work quite a while ago when a problem occurred with the original barrel. I asked for the 5" and they said fine. They re-nickeled the gun and even threw in 3 front sight blades. I was impressed to say the least.

That 1950 Smith and Wesson and Hank Sloan holster have Elmer written all over it! In fact that could be displayed in the Cabelas in Boise and I think everyone would naturally assume they were the Boss Man's own.

I made the mistake of making him a price I didn't think he would bite on. That was a bad move. He beat me out of the holster too! Not even sure why me and him are still pals....
