Bought and carry a 640 Pro with night sights by Trijicon. Bought it back in 2013, Night Sights are getting way dim, about 20% illumination left. Call to S&W CS with serial number told me who made the sights. Sending the sights back for lamp replacement. Need to get them off the little round gun. Don't want to use a punch to drift left to right and off.
Have had the sights basted with Kroil for a couple of days, need recommend on how to remove from firearm. Sight pusher? Which one? Other methods that do not involve a punch and hammer?
Trijicon will relamp them for cheap if I can get them off the revolver without beating them to death.
Appreciate any help.
I love snubbys and this guy just works and is a sentimental favorite.

The sights are off. The Old 640 Pro looks something akin to a bull Elk in the spring. Funny and ungainly and kinda shy, as antlers give character to an elk so does Novak style night sights do to a J frame. Sights came off with a couple of doses of Kroil over a 3-4 day period AND two brass punches, a one pound ball peen hammer and a padded vise. No damage to the sights and the vials are not broken. Wasn't easy though, And as someone mentioned on a different forum. Semi Auto sight pushers, at least mine, cannot be configured to operate on a revolver. The old sights leave for Trijicon on the "evening freight"

They make these c-clamp like fixtures to string wiring up or along I-beams. I used them, cut and ground out to the profile and depth, of the muzzles of my G23 and Kahr P-9. Home made front sight pushers. I pad with piece of flannel.

The items above, are conduit & cable supports. They clamp to beams. "C style". Steel mild enough for easy dremel/file shaping. Sorry it took so long for some details. See a Garvin Industries has. Mine different brand, but same. So.. garvinindustries.com
