Ok, off my thread about handgunning hogs article, I asked what people thought would be a decent of fair price for handgunning hogs. Here is my situation, I have two ranches that allow me access and the owner allows me to take friends. The ranches are 1500 to 2500 acres, and one is high fenced the other low fenced.
Accommodations are beds, bathroom, shower, AC/heat, fridge, walk in cooler, and microwave. You handle your own meals.
You would handle your own meat, or you could take it in to town and find a processor on your own. Town is 20min. drive, with several restaurants, grocery store, fuel, and hotels if you decide to stay in town.
Hunting is primarily from stands or blinds that are elevated anywhere from a couple feet to 10 feet up. All the stands utilize corn feeders or are situated on water. Shots could be 75 yards but most are 50 and less. If there are fewer than 4 hunters the possibility of still hunting or sneaking about is possible due to not interrupting someone else’s hunt. You would not be allowed to drive the ranch or ride quads to your stands, you would be dropped off and picked up by me.
The owner and I are in negotiations to allow me to bring paying guests. Looking at 200.00 to 250.00 a day, 3 day minimum, no limit on hogs, since I’ll be dealing with this myself 5 hunters maximum at one time and prefer 2-4. only running hunts Feb 1 thru May 31, and realize that after May 1 it could be very hot and uncomfortable.
stay tuned if interested,…..this project has been in the works for a while as I prepared for retirement from the FD. Trapr

I knew you were from Texas,, I just figured I'd ask for those who might NOT know that. Too bad you are a bit too far for me to wander for hogs.
