Have had three Redhawks and the only grip that fits my hand well is the no longer made Uncle Mike's... Bob Will you post a pic of those grips?

...that's the ones...if you can find them...
The original service size wood grips fit my hand fine...the problem becomes recoil at a certain point... The small amount of rubber across the backstarp helps a lot to mitigate felt recoil...
The Herrett's grips on Mr. Taffin's guns look great...

The difference between a grip that fits the hand nicely and one that doesn't is almost like night and day.
I was almost ready to get rid of my 4" Redhawk. Swapping to a grip that fit me is rapidly turning that same Redhawk into my favorite sixgun.

bkgrips.com/May I suggest bk grips as an alternative to tyler. May work for you with the oem panels. I use one on an N frame as well as a 1917 Colt. They are nice for low level recoil.

My 4" .45 came with Bantam grips which feel ok but i can't stand the look. I tried Pachmayr presentations but they seemed to increase the reach to the trigger which I didn't care for. Found a nice old set of factory wood grips and it wears those for now. Looks good and feels good. A custom set of wood is in it's future for sure.
