Found this on the Rimrock Bullet sight a couple of weeks ago. I've loaded up a 100 rds with some HS-6 and hoping for 1,000fps. Awaiting an opportunity, weather and range time permitting, to see what this round is doing on paper. I've decided to use it in my 2.75" Model 69 S&W as a companion out on the property. Feral dogs and some sign of wolves are about. These two animal types concern me more than Black Bears. This bullet might work well in Charter Bulldogs and Ti Smiths. Fun project.

I have some of that style (195gr SWCHP) to try in my 696. Seems like a perfect choice for the intended purpose.

I make a similar bullet from a MP Mold. They work great in my S&W 329 PD Snubbie.

My screen shows, Standard Cast, page 4.. a plain base SWC 185gr HP. The site is confusing, separate pages for standard, top shelf, etc.. Then lots of scrolling to caliber.. Ezekial38 please clarify ?

I have some of the Rimrock deer grenades 240 grain 44 caliber. They are gas checked and shoot pretty good. Wonder if they would be a good deer bullet inside of 75 yards. Never have pushed them hard just a light load of unique. May have to get some of those 185 grainers for the 44 special and try them out.

Jamesautry, nailed it. 185grain SWCHPPB bullet that mikes at 430. Sorry about that I forgot to list the weight it is: 185grains. I bought the bullet for feral dog packs, both wild and domesticated, just beginning to shoot them a bit. More "research" is in order. Shoot bullets for group not at animals.

In my lame reasoning, 185 grain bullet is to to light for a .44. It will certainly do a bad guy in, but I would opt for that same bullet in about 240 grain. Shoud do anything I want a 44 special to do !...tj

I have a vaquero in 44 special that needs a light bullet pushed hard to hit near point of aim.
