I understand that a set of Pin Gauges are the best way to measure the cylinder throats of my revolvers. For some unknown reason I can't seem to find a picture of a pin gauge. Could someone be so kind as to post a pic of a pin gauge for me? Where is a good place to get a set?
Thanks in advance!

NOT MUCH TO SEE. THEY ARE STEEL RODS ABOUT 3" LONG OF A DEFINITE DIAMETER. I BOUGHT A SET OF 250 OF THEM FROM .250" TO .500" FROM MSC INDUSTRIAL SUPPLY FOR LESS THAN $100.

Alan Harton told me you DO want the minus set. Here is a picture of a set I got a few weeks ago.

Dang. Glad I live in Texas and can ship stuff to Alan for $10. (AND OTHER REASONS- Texas continues to rock) I send Alan a gun, it comes back and is better. We don't need to add pin gauges on my end to this thing.
All too often, I seem too see someone worrying about throat dimensions and B/C gaps before they shoot it.
Shoot it. IF there is a problem, address it, if not, enjoy it.

Kings6 - you spent a little time cleaning all those pins. I left most in the wrappers.
You can also purchase the pins seperately - the cost isn't much per pin or you can get just one telescoping gauge pin.

I even own a decent set of screwdrivers!
