They don’t list brands on a lot of their over runs. I was surprised to see them list the brand for the Nosler, Swift, and Barnes bullets. I guess they figured charging a buck each needed an explanation. Ha

I don’t recall them “advertising” the brand on the factory over runs. You’re stuck looking at the picture trying to solve the mystery, with bullets it’s not too difficult most time. However I’ve never had an issue with the product, either way.

Ha ! What I was just thinking.. Hornady the good guess...but. No pic of head stamp or named anywhere I saw. Would Starline pass off seconds for someone else to sell ? I do not know if there are any other players in this game ?

It’s possible Starline would, provided the trademark wasn’t stamped yet. I say this as Sierra is selling much of their “seconds” instead of storing and selling to walk-in customers. The two companies have extremely close ties, as they are spitting distance apart.

There are some Swift AF .41’s as well, buck a bullet.

It made me do a search on another site for .416’s, I lucked into some TSX’s for my 416 Ruger at two year ago prices. Bought all they had. Trapr

How can there be an overrun of ANYTHING?

Factory 2nds don't sound as good... how about "start & shut down production that is not perfect, but may be good enough for you"

Or a specific manufacturer orders so many at a specific detail, cannelure location, weight, etc. and these are left over after the amount is met. My guess would be cosmetic flaws, that’s where Sierras seconds typically come from.
