Im wading in slow I sent Alan a SS Acusport cylinder to have the engraving removed. I had it back in a week and it looks great! Next he will get a SS superblackhawk for a Bisley config, grips and match 4" barrel. I'm going to need a front sight, something where the sight blades could be changed. Anybody know what sight system Alan uses?

I'd ask him to get one of Jim Strohs front sight bases that you can change blades on. It is one of the cleanest, most elegant bases out there IMHO.

RE: removal of cylinder engraving - I'd never considered sending only a cylinder to Harton to have the engraving removed, regarding that as something he would accept only as a part of a bigger project. That's an intriguing thought, though. Does he have a price list posted anywhere for such small jobs?

No price list, just a phone call or email is needed.

Things are rolling along. Just ordered a SS Bisley gripframe, hammer and trigger from Midway. Does Alan make his own barrels? I going to go with a 4" barrel band ;D Oh when the cylinder came back it had a brushed finish which I like! My other SS guns are all bead blasted and this brushed finish is way nicer!

Fermin please tell me about the 44 mag you have pictured in the "what to do to a old model" thread. That is what I have in mind for my 44 mag but in stainless. What length barrel and front sight system? Beautiful guns indeed!!
