"Vintage" being either old(er) like me or as in "Vintage HiFi" equipment
I know this is a gun site but you all have other interests as well.
At any rate, I have a Luxman L80V amp and a Luxman PD272 turntable, both of which I bought new in the late 70's. I'm going to sell the turntable and possibly the amp. I'm looking for advice/info on the best place to do that. Not so sure I want to go the ebay route but I suppose I could. Here's a couple pics of the turntable. I does need the little plastic clip/tone arm holder. I have the original box as well. Any interest?

What he is after is having to win it, to conquer the surly brute through his own effort and skill with all the extras that this carries with it: the immersion in the countryside, the healthfulness of the exercise, the distraction from his job."
I just sold my collection of 2,000+ LP's in 2019, mostly because it was taking up an entire bedroom & after 40 years I was ready to move on. Vinyl is currently popular with the younger crowd as are high end turntables to play it on & unless you can find a local collector, which I was fortunate enough to do, then by far your best bet for maximum exposure & a worthwhile sale price is to list it on an online auction site such as eBay.

It makes my stomach hurt to think about shipping that turntable.
Beautiful!

Agreed, shipping just about anything anymore, by any method is becoming ridiculously expensive! The best thing for the SELLER about an auction site is it's the buyer who pays for the shipping cost.

Funny how turntables were being given away 25 years ago and now the stores are once again stocking vinyl and nobody buys CDs!
I think the decline for CD’s began with the IPod, now you can Bluetooth anything to your phone. I was one of the weirdos in high school that had records and knew how to play them LOL! Have my Moms “Abbey Road” and Led Zeppelin from when she was in high school. Collected some other’s along the way, preferred 45’s because I never liked an entire album anyone made and we always had the idea of getting a jukebox one day.

Your problem is small. I have to figure out how to sell some HUGE electrostatic speakers.
As far as selling the turntable as mentioned ebay prices may be impressive but packing and shipping would be a chore for whatever benefit you receive in sales price. Plus, the grumbles if it gets delivered with damage of some sort. If you live near a metro area there is sure to be a music emporium of some sort that might be able to advise or take as a consignment. If you do be sure to remove the headshell and cartridge and store it close but separate as they tend to get damaged or walk away. Beautiful machine. Even with the rebirth of vinyl I don't think the world will see direct drive turntables made again.
