I was just reading my latest issue of GUNS tonight and came across Mark Hampton’s article on hunting the Ethiopian Mountain Nyala as well as the Menelik’s Bushbuck. Very interesting article and a couple of beautiful animals hunted with a specialty pistol at long range. Enjoyed the article Mark !

I remember sitting on a mountain top a year ago with Mark & asking him what animals were on his bucket list, knowing there weren't many animals that he hadn't taken with a handgun. I remember he told me of 2 animals & one of them was an Nyala that was only found in Ethiopia. The other animal I can't remember what he told me, maybe a Wooly Mammoth!

Thanks for the kind words drycreek. Glad you enjoyed the piece. It was a bucket list hunt for me.
Dick -- I'm anxiously awaiting to hear about your upcoming hunt in Africa. Hope you enjoy a great hunt.

I wish I could spend a week around a campfire listening to both of you men talk.
