Danner Thoroughfare or Thoroughgood can’t recall exact name,......Pronghorn is another lower cost option from Danner also.

Just about anything Danner. Been wearing them for nearly 30 years so I am a little bias towards them and they are a local company but I have yet to buy a brand new pair of anything they make and wear for an entire day right out of the box and have sore feet. Whether work boots and walking on concrete all day or hunting boots and hike 5-10 miles a day, never sore feet. They last quite a while and if you buy one of the heavier built models you can have them re-soled. Many models available with Gore-Tex and Thinsulate just have to look at which model is best for you.
I believe my current hunting pair are the "Elk Hunter" and have air-bob soles that are like walking on air and clean-out mud and snow better that the "waffle stomper" type of sole. Just my preference, YMMV.

I used to wear Danners and still do occasionally if its hot although the Kenetrek Desert Guide boot is my go to when its hot.
The mountain extreme is a tall boot but the support is awesome. Match the model to the amount of thinsulate you want…i have the 400s
I have sent a pair back for resoling too and the customer service was great. Ive done the same with Danner and was wary of the service I’d get from Kenetrek but didn’t dnt need to be.

I have used the Danner Pronghorn for 10-12 years now and they work great for where and how I hunt. With the diabetes thing coming into the picture the last few years I did go from the 400 gram insulation to the heavier insulation but I still love the boots.

Big fan of Danner. I wear Reckonings or RAT boots, but that’s just out of habit.

you can also keep an eye on these boots on ebay. I've bought a couple pair from Kenetreks ebay page. Stuff that was returned used and they sell them on their ebay store

I bought the Kenetrek but cannot wear them. Cant stand the "Hump" in the middle of the boot. Just me though as I know most people love them.

I like Danners too, but I’ve turned into a big fan of Meindl boots.

Thanks to all! Lots of good info! I ordered the Danner elk hunter 400gr insulate. Figure I’ll break them in walking the dog every morning?

Have a set of Danner pronghorn boots that I've had a number of years. Used in anything from subzero snow to high desert hunting. Wyoming pronghorn hunt last fall, boots took a beating in the shale and jagged rock as well as cactus. But they are good to go

I picked up a pair of Danner Alsea last year and absolutely love them. Super comfortable and warm.
