Did FA just have a price increase, or am I seeing some kind of pandemic driven inflation finally catching up to all corners of the gun market?
I don't usually peruse GunBroker, but happened to look over there last night. Prices on some models (new guns) seem to be up $300+500 over just a few months ago.
Thought I did well with the one I bought used about six months ago, but if what I'm seeing is the new standard... Yeesh!

I can’t speak to the gun prices but their accessories had a price increase.
I ordered a red dot mount for my 83 last week and I think it went up like $3, the lady I spoke to said prices went up on June 1.

What hasn't gone up in price over the last 6 months?

I just sent 2 97s off to auction. I hope this increase is reflected in what they bring

FA did have a price increase this month actually. It wasn’t a substantial one though. I only know this because I ordered one for someone the day they increased of course. 🤣

I'm stunned when I look at their prices on GunBroker. I bought my first one in 2013 and added one a year until I had those I wanted. Last purchase was a FA-97 44 Special in 2018.
Since then their prices have increased by 50%. Maybe not MSRP, but certainly what they are bringing on GunBroker.

EVERYTHING IS GOING UP IN PRICE AS THE WORTH OF OUR MONOPOLY MONEY GOES DOWN.

Right before COVID hit and things were fairly normal, I spied a Ruger flattop .44spl in the “used” rack. It was clearly unfired and had the box/all the paperwork. It was listed for $575. It was a dream gun of mine and, despite money being tight, I asked if they’d take $475 for it. We settled on $500 otd and I took it home.
I’m watching the same gun go for WAY more than that now. Glad I got it when I did. My only regret is that there was an unfired.44mag flattop Anniversary right next to it (must have been from the same collection) and I didn’t buy that too.

The first gun I worked and paid for myself was a Ruger Security Six. It was $187.50 in August 1979. They have been going up ever since.
There is always a reason. Inflation, steel prices, labor, etc. The only two constants are prices up and reason why...

Just re-priced my Freedom Arms I have coming. It would have cost me $168.25 more to order it now.
