Well the last rifle I shipped from my FFL cost me $80. It was $20 for his fee, $40 for shipping, and $20 for insurance. While I hate to charge that much shipping, it is what it costs me. I would say if you pay $100 for a transfer, then you are getting ripped off by him. Mine charges $20, coming or going. Maybe that’s the going rate in your town, but you are still getting ripped off.
ETA: Actually, just looked back at the receipts, the last rifle i shipped cost $103, because the insurance cost $43... but it was twice the price of this rifle.
Guess I should have just increased my starting bid by $50 and charged $30 shipping.

SHIPPING, HANDLING, INSURANCE, TRANSFER FEES AND/OR SALES TAXES ARE JUST A FACT OF LIFE. AT LEAST ON GUNBROKER THERE IS NO 15 - 20% "BUYER'S PREMIUM" ADD ON LKE AT SOME OF THE AUCTION HOUSES.
EXPENSES ASIDE, I HAVE A STEYR 376 SCOUT AND IT IS A FANTASTIC RIFLE, SHORT, HANDY, POWERFUL, AND FULL OF UNIQUE FEATURES. MINE NOW WEARS A REGULAR SCOPE BUT ALAS I AM DAMN NEAR A 100% HANDGUNNER AND MY SCOUT HARDLY EVER GETS USED BY ME.

Is there any brass/ammo that goes with it?
Dies or bullets?
Round count?
Neat rifle.
Thanks

I HAVE PLENTY OF AMMO BUT I AM KEEPING IT PLUS IT IS A PAIN IN THE ASS TO SHIP AMMO, HOWEVER, I HAVE SOME FIRED BRASS THAT I COULD PART WITH AT A VERY REASONABLE PRICE IF THAT SCOUT FINDS A NEW HOME WITH ONE OF THE FORUM MEMBERS.
BTW, THE SCOUT IS NOT MY DOG.

The Steyr is mine. I bought two boxes of ammo recently on Gunbroker. I paid $128 shipped. ($100+$28 shipping). I have fired about a half a box of that, and would sell the remaining ammo for what I paid per round before shipping plus whatever shipping would be (probably $25 or so). I will include all fired brass at no additional charge with ammo. I don’t have any dies or other components than the few pcs of fired brass. I bought it used so not sure of the round count. It feels tight and shoots well though. Is there any brass/ammo that goes with it? Dies or bullets? Round count? Neat rifle. Thanks

I will sell the ammo for $2.50 per round plus shipping, which is what I paid for it before shipping. I will include the balance of the brass with the ammo regardless.

I always thought that was a fantastic round in a great rifle. But I opted for a 338-06 instead... and it hardly gets shot, either.
So many guns, so little time.
Good luck on the auction!
