I have a partial brick of old Winchester primers, (K4001P No.1 1/2-108) and was wondering if they are feasible to use. In particuler I was thinking 9mm with Bullseye or some other easy to light fast burn powder. Yellow cardboard box buy the way. Thoughts?

reprime some empty cases and shoot them. If stored properly they will go bang.

I still have military surplus ammunition from the 1920's that still fires fine. If your primers were stored properly I wouldn't hesitate to use em.

I HAD SEVERAL THOUSAND FEDERAL PRIMERS STORED FOR OVER 30 YEARS IN MY LOADING ROOM.. LOADED THEM LAST YEAR--WORKED JUST FINE.

I'll second Mr. Taffin's comment with CCI and some Winchester, both SP and LR.

I gave my old trap shooting pal 500 small rifle primers yesterday . I no longer load small rifle primers and the primers were old stock .
