imgur.com/a/VkCien9Had to take this lame fellow this morning. Looks by the scar left on his hip and how the broke bone had healed he must have been hit by a car at some point. He had a serious limp. 500 Linebaugh Seville 5.5", 525gr WFNGC cast 75/25 coww/soww +2% tin, 19gr Enforcer @1000fps. Quartering away. A serious bang flop drt.

Still can't get the pictures to post right When using Imgur, select your image & wait until it becomes large. Look to the right at the links & descriptions. You want the one titled: BBCode (message boards & forums) Hit the copy button to the right of that listing & then paste it into your post. That should display your picture.

Last season was my year for culling injured deer. During our firearm season,, on opening day,, I had a 7 pointer show up,, and he had been gut shot by a poacher. He would not have lived, as he was obviously suffering,, and it was 1-3 days prior he'd been shot. Late in the season, I had another deer come in severely limping. I culled him,, and found he only had a cut pad on a front hoof. He would have survived.
This season,, I have seen 2 different bucks whom have suffered a severe butt whipping. Each one has a broken off left antler. I think a neighbor killed one,, and the other is still walking. I've let him live. But I killed one the other day,, that had signs of a serious butt whipping. A broken tine, a puncture wound, a patch of skin missing on the inside of a rear leg bigger than a golf ball,, but healing, and 2 other places in his skin that were obviously places antlers skinned him a bit.
Sometimes,, culling an animal,, is a mercy kill,, and allows it not to be wasted. I always cull any deer I deem may be injured to the point of suffering. KUDOS on your deer. You did good!

Guess again. That's where it went in! Looked about the same where it came out in front of the off shoulder. Everything in it's chest was jelly. I was actually after a bear, that's why the 500L instead of a smaller one. There's one coming around that's 400 or more. Only 4days left in the season.

Good job. Right thing to do taking out a crippled deer.

Over an ounce of half-inch diameter lead entering at a hard angle makes a mean hole! If you think that's something you should see what the hollow point version of this bullet cast soft and loaded hard does coming out.
