Who makes a nice holster for a bfr that will fit a 5.5 ,6.5 and a 7.5 Bfr with a red dot sight and the bfr scope base? That won't break the bank.

A lot will hinge on the style of red dot you will use. A holster for a tube type red dot will be quite different than one for a tv type dot. I have and use both types for hunting, and have holsters for them. Not bfr’s but they are available.

Looked on magnum research sight kind of like the one they call big thunder torso . Just wonder how well it holds gun and if it will hold a 5 to 7.5 barrels. Also how well it fits to your body or if it just flops around.

Check out the Guides Choice holster by Diamond D Leather. They can make one for the BFR and optic sights. They also make a synthetic chest holster.

I have the synthetic version of the Diamond D leather holster for my 5.5” 45LC revolver with reflex sight and I can highly recommend it.

I have the synthetic version of the Diamond D leather holster for my 5.5” 45LC revolver with reflex sight and I can highly recommend it. Google Diamond D Outdoors to see the synthetic version. I’m about to order one for Blackhawk in .41 magnum with a Delta Point on it. If I could put up a picture I would.......

A shooter could spend a small fortune on quality holsters and belts.

Well I sent pics to dimand d and they told me with the long scope base on n it .It was a no go. Unless I cut the scope base off thats over the barrel. Dont want to do that so I asked about the synthetic one they make . Thats a no go for now. Said they were in process of developing one for the bfr. But no go at this time. So I ordered one of the magnum research torso holster. Needless to say I sent it back didn't fit revolvers good at all and harness rub the hid off my neck in less than 5 min the way that it fit. So any other ideas on a good holster?

Rob at simply rugged will make you one and coupled with the chesty puller system works fine. I have one for my blackhawk bisley with a vortex venom.

Check out the Galco Kodiak Hunter. It may work with that long BFR mount. I cut my mount off at the end of the frame and solved the holster problem. Mounted a scope on my 454 and haven't had any problems.
