Buddy just bought one of those Model 10s that J&G have been selling with the barrels removed. Understand they are Jordanian reimports. Anyway wondering if there are any quirks or any mods made in the different barrels that were made for those older Smiths. He wants to put a 4" bull barrel on the gun. Anybody been there done that??

I bought one and put a 4 inch heavy barrel on it from a different model 10-8 project I did. I had a spare barrel and cylinder with ejector rod that I ended up using. The cylinder from the 10-8 had more favorable .358 throats and it tightened up the endshake from the J&G gun. The barrel lines don’t line up perfect because a 10-7 is a pencil barrel frame but the gun performs flawlessly. For a $200 shooter you couldn’t ask for more I would buy some more of these frames but the model 10 parts out there are getting harder to find, if you have to spend too much on a barrel and ejector rod it makes it not worth it.
