My daughter sent me a link to some chairs she wanted to know if I could duplicate so I decided to make a prototype, tweak the build then build a couple chairs for my nephews birthdays. Like I have mentioned before I love using reclaimed wood for these type of projects so these Kentucky stick chairs were made out of the clear cedar boards I recently pulled off my front porch when I recently redid it. Multiple processes through the planer, table saw and drill press after some simple jig building then a pretty simple learning curve and I think I am ready to make the three for my daughters family. My son designed the branding iron logo for me and I put it on most of my wood projects now. Just a for grins and giggles post.

This design folds up pretty flat so I just need to find the right size box to ship the kids down to NV and NM for Christmas.

They look better than the basic ole Adirondack chair. Bonus points for retention of digits.

I wanted something to mark projects with and since I have handwriting like a second grader I knew hand signing would be ugly. One of the companies I buy tools from had these brass branding irons and you send in a pdf of your art work and in a week or so you receive the iron. I talked to my son who is a graphic designer and we came up with this. Not only does it have both the wife and my initials with the center B but it plays on our last name, Barnes, and it is very similar to the logo my dad had designed years ago fir his real estate firm.
This way all I have to hand write is a date or personal note if I want to add that.

My dad had one of those chairs when I was little and I hated it. I could never understand why it had to be so complicated

Not really that complicated. When you want to sit down you just lower your butt into the seat, when you want to get up, simply stand up. Pretty simple to use
