They are pricey aren’t they??? I can say with absolute certainty as someone who owns a few....they ain’t worth that!!! I don’t shoot mine because I don’t know when I can replace the ammo. Hahahaha. They have a healthy appetite. Much cheaper to go rent one for however many mags you wanna run through it!

There’s a place here that rents FA. I have been considering going to rent a couple but with ammo being the price it is now I just haven’t bothered.

Back in the day my friends friend had an HK 21, belt fed or box fed, interchangeable barrels with a genuine asbestos glove. Same guy owned a 1928 Colt Thompson Navy. I think he had about $5000 1990 dollars in it. 308 was "only" about a quarter a round then, that broke me of wanting to own one. The 21 was like a chain saw, no discernable individual shot was heard. Went through a pile of money quick to my mind. I think it was something like one of 12 in the country at the time. The Thompson, on the other hand, was great fun.

I have seen those in action. Pretty impressive. A local shop has a 45/70 gatling gun on display. The price is $65k. Talk about breaking the bank to shoot.

I agree. The ammo cost these days is a definite deterrent from taking them out very often. Let’s some guys run the 249 SAW recently and it hurts almost to hear it run 😂

I shot 2 MP5s at a machine gun shoot. That SD9 is a Jaguar that throws .355" slugs. Suh-weet!
