The FA and BFR single actions are widely recognized for their craftsmanship, accuracy, and overall quality above competitors. Is there an equivalent in the double action world?

For brute strength, accuracy, and quality, I would say you would have to go to a Bowen built Redhawk for an equivalent in double action.

This thread would get more attention in the double action forum instead of the rifle forum.

The Korth etc revolvers are cool and expensive, but not very tough. A PC Smith and Wesson is better spent money in my opinion for similar strength. Also, for long cartridges, the X-Frame does very well with the 500 and 460 S&W cartridges.
For a tough double action revolver, the Ruger revolvers are fantastic. The actions can be improved greatly and there's a lot of material on the frames for high end finishes, reformation and sculpture, and conversion to big bore cartridges.
Some of the top builders handle the Rugers. Bowen was mentioned, Huntington as well, and Clements too I believe.

With a limited knowledge of fine DA;s, beyond the 2 M69's that I've had, one stayed, I'll ask a question instead. Would the Kimber revolver fit this niche for y'all ? Somebody here has one..Ezekiel38 ? An FA/BFR level of quality DA, a worthy question.

Would the Kimber revolver fit this niche..? I would not put the Kimber revolver in the same class as a S&W, surely not in the same class as a PC S&W, definitely not a lateral in quality as a Freedom Arms or similar. Maybe on par with Taurus.

I do wish I'd of kept the 4" M69 Smith though. It had NO issues, but another 480 was calling me. The 2.75" M69 is good to go. Yet somebody here told of getting one with the shroud, outer barrel cocked, at an angle.
