As most of you know the wife and I currently have our son, our daughter-in-law and our son-in-law all deployed to the Middle East and all are pilots for the USAF. My son and his wife are stationed about an hour and a half apart and at least once during this deployment they have been at the same base for meetings which was pretty strange and rare in and of itself. That they are both Majors and mission commanders makes it even rarer. Well my son face timed the other day while I was gone and apparently he and his wife were both flying missions and Remington had to refuel Ashly's Osprey in mid air during the mission. He thought it was probably the first combat husband/wife exchange like that as far as any body knew. Most likely since they are stationed at different bases the upper powers to be did not tie the two together or Rem thought they might not have been able to pull it off.

By some chance did the fueler get a video of what took place. That would be an item for the news when their deployment is over.
We continue to keep the three of them on our list, thanks for the update.
Regards Jim

Continued prayers for sure.
On a lighter note, I had a really bad “exchange of fluids” joke cued up, but in this situation I don’t think it’s appropriate.
Wish them all the best for us and blessings to you and your wife.

That is pretty cool, heck, amazing ! Amongst the gang at camp, a retired Colonel, AF.. Believe he told of refueling his brother. He went on to be an aide to a Joint Chiefs of Staff somebody and was knocked from his desk chair to the floor when that jet hit the Pentagon. He has to take his turn doing dishes the same as anyone else at camp.

I doubt if any pictures where taken since most the Spec Ops stuff involves night flights. I do have pictures of Ashly flying over downtown London in her Osprey which Rem took from the open back of another Osprey and I have pictures of Rem making his last KC-135 landing before he switched to the MC-130J. I just need to get a picture of Strek flying his Pavehawk which is the SAR unit he flies for the Para-rescue jumpers.

I too have kept them all in my prayers.
This story is just too cool to NOT share. Sometimes,, it can be interesting how the events around us unfold. Life's little wonders,, and yet,, still amazing!
