In some light conditions I’ve heard people having issues. I haven’t experienced that. The bigger the base the better. The smaller calibers are more difficult to get a reading at 80-100 yards for sure

I’ve had my Oehler 35P for years and it is a great unit. It also takes some work to set up and mine doesn’t work on my local indoor range which is problematic. While the Oehler is the industry standard, I think the Lab Radar unit is fantastic for so many reason.

What about indoors, will it have time to pick a shot on a 50ft or even a 30ft range.

LABRADAR IN USE Few endorsements outside of yours will give me as much confidence in a product. I am certain there are few chronographs, if any, that you haven't put through their paces.

I have both the Oehler 35P and the Labradar. The Oehler 35P ends up staying in the closet and the Labradar goes to the range. While the 35P is a great chronograph, it always seems to take 4 or 5 trips forward from the shooting bench to get it lined up properly with the target, and then it's only lined up with a single target. If your range is one that has baffles in front of the firing line, the 35P may not work as it needs light from above and no shadows from baffles.
The Labradar you just set on the bench, plug it in ( I use an external power pack. They run about $15 and last for many shooting sessions before needing to be recharged), sync it with my phone, and it's ready to go. Very quick and easy...
Another thing I really like about the Labradar is that it uses a SD card to record on. When I get home, I can just pop it out and pop it into my computer and there is a really nice EXCEL file of data for each string of shots that I can store for easy access or manipulate if I choose. Very handy way of storing the data in a way that can be searched or used...

We used a Labradar last week for a long range class we taught...so convenient to be able to verify velocities throughout the day without setting up screens or change barrel harmonics with the Magneto Speed.
It's on my "stuff to get" now for sure.
