Hello All, I started load development with the MP Light Weight SWC and found that 2400 left allot un-burnt powder in the case. I loaded this batch with HS-6. Thanks in advance. Boats

W231 for light target work, Power Pistol for mid range, 2400 or H110 if I wanted to push the limits but if I want to do that I go to a bigger gun. So W231 and Power Pistol...

I’ve tried Bullseye, Titegroup, Trail Boss, 231, 2400, H110, Red Dot, Clays, Unique, HS-6 and 4227 for powders. Could be something else I forgot 🙄. For target loads I like 5.0g of Bullseye. I’ve also had good luck with 8.0g of Power Pistol for medium loads. My Ruger Bisley 44 Special Flattop shoots a 240 XTP really well with H110. Good luck!

Unique, 2400, and H110. Been using a little Vit 110 lately and am liking it pretty well too.
Finally got a little Power pistol. Looking forward to trying it too.

I found an Article in the April 2019 issue of handloader Old cartridge new powders about the 44 Special ! True blue Accurate #2 CFE, Vit N320 all listed, i bought a can of true blue. Still waiting for my Bisley Flat top to come from Buds, and my Brass from Brownells, I will start with light loads the Article lists 200 grain Bullets from a 3 barrel length , 7.7 grains of true blue give 768 and 763 from a 3 inch Bulldog, 4in S&W gives 794 & 807 And a 5.5 gives 889 & 887. I would start there with my 4 5/8ths Bisley. I would love to find a can of unique ! i only have a little left, Have a fresh can of 296 though ! ...tj
