Congrats!
Does that mean you get preference for draw hunts too?

Congrats! Does that mean you get preference for draw hunts too? I wish! But this year my friend (broberston here on the forum) drew a coveted Dall Sheep tag in a walk-in area. I killed my first Ram in this area 15 years ago. We each put in separately for different hunts hoping one of us would draw. We'll be headed for a Ram come august. It'll be a handgun hunt. Not a short barreled rifle either! Bob has killed at least on ram before with his trusty ol Redhawk, a few goats and grizzly's and who knows what else. We've been trying to do a handgun sheep hunt the last couple years but Life had other plans. No trigger pulling for me this year but I sure am looking forward to getting back up in the Sheep Mountains! I'll be a packer and photographer!!

About 14yrs ago Alabama was going to raise their lifetime license. When I heard that I decided to buy mine and never look back. That was one of the best purchases I ever made. I spent $450 for lifetime fishing and hunting. Same license now is around $800.

Sounds like you can’t cover as a back-up gun, especially with the senior license and handgun. May fortune shine, David Bradshaw

Many, many years ago,, my state started offering lifetime licenses. Well, I was able to buy my son his,, before he turned age 1,,, for $100.00. He'll turn 39 this year,, and has never had to buy a sportsmans license in NC. I also bought mine decades ago for $300.00 and have more than gotten my money's worth.
Kudos on you buying your last license,, AND,, especially the chance to go on another sheep hunt!

I guess I've never heard of buying a permanent license. Didn't really know some states sold those. Sounds like it was a good deal for you guys. Here in AK they just give 60+ year old residents one for free.
