I have been carrying a Ruger Light Weight Commander Nightwatchman on the job for the past year. A lot of gun for the money.

There is something missing............
An ambidextrous safety. No matter how good a 1911 looks, if it doesn't have one, I DON'T BUY......

Congratulations. Ambi safety or not, those are nice pistols. I believe you’ll be pleased.

I'm left handed and all my 1911s over the years have required an ambi safety fitted to the weapon. Usually less than a $100.00 will get a good safety ( I like ED Brown) and the install fees. I find my self bereft of a 1911 at the moment I've been on a Kimber K6s tear, I need to pick up a LW Commander 45 in the Ruger variety. Ruger, solid value.
