I don't yet have any custom revolvers in .32 caliber, but thought I'd share a family photo of some stock Rugers. These go from wild to mild in descending order (referring to the loads they can handle). All .327s except for the Buckeye on top. I'd be hard pressed to pick my favorite from these, though I would lean toward one of the middle two. Apologies for the poor photography and for the rude appearance of the double action in this forum!

Great set there! That Blackhawk must be about a zero recoil machine.

Very nice collection...
Was just over on GunBroker....there are several of the Buckeye Specials for BIG money and one of the stainless 8-shot Blackhawks on a Penny start auction...
The .327 GP-100 has been dropped from the Ruger line and Single-Sevens are getting hard to fine...so you may not have any "custom" guns but you have a nice collection of "collectors"...

Nice ones for sure!
Which model of 327 Blackhawk do you have? Apparently there are 3 different ones. One is a 2-tone,, and the other two appear identical. My Blackhawk is Model KBKH-3275, and there is a KBN-3275 over on the Ruger Forum for sale.

I have long felt that Ruger/Lipsey's have brought us the Golden Age of 32s. While quite popular they are still not mainstream and as such supply will be cyclical . So many more GOOD guns in 32 now then there was a few years ago only means get 'em NOW ,,,,, while you can. Supply can disappear over night.

I like. I've been contemplating converting a shorter barrel 32 to one with a longer barrel like I did my 22 SS a while back.

Also, no GP100 but I do have a little fixed sight SS. Got my first .32 H&R a year after they were introduced, a little 4 5/8's barrel beauty that is still going strong!

Thanks, everybody! I am very happy to have gotten these when I did. I still enjoy my .22s, and I love my big bores, but when I want to just relax and shoot, I usually reach for a .32. A full-power .327 is nothing to sneeze at (even in a Blackhawk, recoil of a 140 grain bullet at 1400+ fps is not unnoticeable), and I love pushing the limits with those, but there is something special about mild .32 S&W long or H&R loads that puts a smile on your face. Mr. Taffin, your .32 collection is amazing! I'm starting to think that a long-barreled single action should be in my future. Contender, my Blackhawk is the KBN-3275. I was not aware until you mentioned it that there were two different models that look identical. What is the story there? Were there two separate runs made?
