Yesterday I took my wife for a little drive to break up our routine of doing nothing all day. We drove down to see my FFL guy & along the way I'm sure I spotted at least 15 hungry Rock Chucks! They were all over & all I had was my little 9mm carry gun & we were on pavement anyway. Drove right past Ken O'Neil's favorite spot & down to where Dr. Larry Rogers pounded them pretty hard last year. Didn't look like he had even put a dent in them & Larry hunts HARD! The weather was nice & then today, reality! Spring time in the rockies! This is standing in my front door trying to see the lake across the street, except I can't, it's snowing like crazy. Probably 3" in the last couple of hours but it sure is beautiful. It will all be melted off before dark. Dick

Idaho has it's down side but this isn't one of them. Spring means you dress for winter and hope for the best.

Dick.... yessir, snow, rain, sun, snow.... brooks normally clear crash down the mountain. You won’t see a canoe or kayak, and hopefully no fools climbing rock. Sighted in guys M-29 the other day; 25 yards was it. You know, to deep breathe real air boosts the immune system. David Bradshaw

Same crazy weather here. A few days ago was planting some trees. Last 2 mornings woke up to snow. At this rate won't get my berry bushes or peach trees planted.

Apparently the covid forecasters and the weather dopes use the same info. We were forecast 3 to 5 inches of snow yesterday in NW Wyoming. Got nothing

I was FaceTiming with my son who lives in Clovis NM and he said is was in the low 70s one day then they woke up to 3”+ of snow the next morning. The son in Denver says he sees the same thing all the time.

Yup spring time in the Rockies, had 6" on Monday here in Denver, completely gone by Tuesday afternoon, baseball fields were dry enough to hit on yesterday (if you defied the stay at home orders) and we have 4" of fresh snow out there as we speak and it has snowed all day today. Probably got 2" of moisture this week all told. Thinking of the recent droughts and the fact the boys are not playing baseball at the moment anyways I wont complain...

Hey Sixshot, there is a celebrity woodchuck in Punxsutawney Penn that blatantly lied about an early spring. He needs some of your 41 cal attention.

That is what we had for the past week. Near 0 temps and several inches of snow. Finally looks like we'll have enough warm days to get rid of most of it. But, then there is always May. Some of our worst snow storms have been in May.

Don't have to be in the Rockies to get snow...in southern NH we had about an inch on the ground yesterday morning... Never accumulated on any pavement as it was too warm.. Melted all off yesterday afternoon and looking to be 60 today...
