Is anyone making them? I know that you can get one for Blackhawks, but is anyone making them for the Bisley grip frame?
I just talked to my boss about letting me make some on our 5 axis machine. If I can get them done in a reasonable cycle time, I might consider machining a couple hundred of them. If there’s a market for them. Maybe eventually make some Single Six Bisley hammers.
IDK. Just curious to what you guys think.
Thanks Justin

Old model Bisley spur on plow handle gripframe. I’ll take two. Pardon my ignorance, but I know absolutely zero about old model hammers and triggers. The only old model Ruger I have handled is a Bearcat. Not saying that I’m not interested in tackling it. I would just need an old model hammer and gun in my hands to make it work. I eventually will have an old model Ruger. Just haven’t come across the right one yet.

I’ve got an OM Bisley hammer that I purchased from Ron Power. It is for a #5 project that has not been completed.

Looks like I need to buy an OM hammer. I was going to just make some NM ones, because that’s what I need. If an OM Bisley is needed, I’ll have to see what I can do.
If anyone has an OM original Ruger hammer that they wouldn’t mind letting go of for a reasonable price,PM me. I do not want to borrow one.
Thanks Justin

It's been converted, so the hammer (and other parts) won't be from the original old model.

Yes it can, Justin. Sorry, didn't see that. The only negative on that is that Ruger supposedly stamps the cylinder frame (believe under the trigger guard) that it's been converted. So if you ever want to have it customized, some smiths will insist on using conversion parts. Also, that's a high price, probably because it is in pretty nice shape and has the original box. You might want to check gunbroker.com for other options, although there's the hassle of paying for shipping to your FFL.

Any progress on this. Do you need any info or parts?
The parts kit in the link above has been reduced to $100.00.....

I haven’t picked up a old model Ruger yet. I’m interested in getting a whole gun. I’m positive that I can make them just off of a hammer, but prefer to have a whole gun in my hand.
