Just watched an episode of Have Gun Will Travel where Richard Boone says "this gun is custom fitted and perfectly balanced with a one ounce trigger pull. ONE OUNCE? Talk about your hair trigger.

I have some Shilen and Jewell triggers on benchrest rifles that are 1 - 2 ounce. The lightest I've seen on a single-action though is the 1/2 - 3/4 pound trigger on this Chimney Rock El Dorado: -Lee www.singleactions.com

I've got a custom Ruger that Bill Grover did that I really need to gauge. It has a hair trigger and I'm dying to know how light. I suspect it is no more than 8 ounces.

If Paladin said it, I believe it. I saw the same episode.

I know a guy who shoots competition and has been in the Olympics. He had a pistol that if it was pointed up, the weight of the trigger would fire it.

Light for me on a revolver is 3 lbs. Can't imagine trying to get used to 1 lb or less.

One of the guys I was prairie dog hunting with last June had a custom Martini that was so light, when he took it out of the truck to show it to me the wind set off the trigger. I thought he was joking until he turned it around... nothing. Turned it back into the wind and it went off again.

I had a FWB 80 recoilless air pistol that had an 8oz. trigger. It could be adjusted lower, but it was simply to hairy for my taste. Bill

Just watched an episode of Have Gun Will Travel where Richard Boone says "this gun is custom fitted and perfectly balanced with a one ounce trigger pull. ONE OUNCE? Talk about your hair trigger. How about the part where he says" it has a rifled barrel. A feature rare on hand guns." Say what? At some other point in a different show the gun is referred to a s "Hamilton". Must have gotton a special deal when he bought his watch.
