Browsing my local gun shop, I found this S&W 559 9mm. It has nice, honest wear but is in very good condition. It is a retired Kentucky State Trooper’s gun. Being a retired LEO myself, I figured it better go home with me......

The agency that neighbored ours issued the 559, IMHO they were the best of the 3rd generation Smiths.

I have one retired state trooper gun... keeping this S&W... belonged to state shooting champ, that was my FIL's buddy... nicest trigger I own on a double action...

I’ve had good luck with the original 59’s, adding the steel frame of the 559 should make it extremely durable.

I love these guns. I have a Model 915 that’s a keeper.
