I purchased a membership at a local indoor range. For non-members they request you fire a maximum of one shot per second, but if you are a member after thirty days you can qualify to work from the holster and rapid-fire. Today just happened to be my thirty days, and the RO asked if I wanted to qualify. Didn't have a semi-auto with me, but thought, 'What the hell.' I loaded up the 'Old Dog,' my modified Model 1902 Hand Ejector, ran a target out to five yards. The RO instructed me to fire as fast as I could. I unloaded as fast as I could pull the trigger, and while it wasn't the best group I've shot it was apparently good enough. He took my card and went to make me a new card saying I was authorized to rapidfire. I decided to take advantage and ran a target out to seven yards and fired some strings of double-taps as fast as I could. Not to shabby for an old guy with an even older gun, but needs work...

2nd time I had to range qualify for my CCW licenses ( I'm on my 3rd ) I used the gun in my avatar ( before the cosmetic work ) it was the 1st time the range officer had someone use an antique gun to qualify with... I shot better than several of the newbies with their compact nines

Good work, like to see those old Smiths shine, Tyler T would probably shrink that group and still be "old skool".
