I was perusing one of my favorite gun store web site when I came across this beauty at a fantastic price so I put it on layaway. It is a Fusion Pro Series stainless 1911 in 10mm. I am going to send it to Fusion and have it bobtailed. The only choice to make is do I have them refinish the lower in matte or coat the receiver in one of their black finishes. I like the idea of a reverse two-tone

Nice-looking.38 Super! Personally, I would leave it as it is, at least until after range testing with various ammo. I’d like to know that there are no reliability issues before making any costly cosmetic changes. Enjoy! -Bill

Nice...
The guy who owns Fusion is great to work with. I bought a Commander 10mm barrel for a project that didn't work out and after a year and a half he let me trade it in for a Defender length barrel in .38 Super...
He will be getting more of my business shortly...

Serva is a great guy. I have ordered parts and stuff from him and spoken about a few different projects. He was always willing to talk when he was over DW too

I have now decided I am going to have them Mill the slide to take a RMR style sight while they have it. I am going to make it a dedicated hunting and try some pin shooting with it too. I have to figure it which one to put on it now.

Groo here Unless you have tried one, I would not bob tail that long a slide.. You might need the extra grip to hold up the front end.. I have a DW clasic 10mm commander[C-BOB] and that is about as long as I would go. I was thinking about a 7 in 10mm [ had a "good" AMT and let it go] and I might need a humped housing to help hold it up.

I had a DW Cbob 10mm and a Kimber Camp Guard 10mm which both have the bob tail. I love the 10mm with the bob tail.
