Not sure, bright side the smith sent me a shipping label and is going to fix the issue and test fire. I figure to let him try and repair the situation. If this doesn't work out I've already secured a spare cylinder and will hand off the project to Alan Harton.

I haven't dealt with Alan in a while but talk was Colts only for him so if HE said he would, listen to others here.

Got a reply from the smith, he uses a carbide chucking reamer to cut the throats first, flips the cylinder upside down then uses a Mason chamber finishing reamer on a bridgeport with digital readout

Those look deep enough that a polish job will likely give you oversize chambers, I think you need a cylinder. That's a fact. If you cut those ridges out, you'll have a 45 Colt.

Apparently whoever did that didn't even look at it before chucking it in the box to ship. I would have been embarrassed.. Hope you get it worked out satisfactorily.
