Nice! I wish for the same. Had 50 Alaskan dies and brass forever. Just really don't want to go the Marlin route.

Did some studying and it’s a first year 1936 rifle..... THEN LEAVE IT ALONE AND ENJOY AS IS!

^^^^ I'll second that. Having had a '71 for a long time, you need to experience it as is. No need to change a good thing.

That’s what I was thinking...... I’m sure that 348 is plenty stout 🥴

With irons I’m surprised at how easy it is to hit with, and given the front bead and using it as top of bead, center of bead and bottom bead the distances are very useful.
Keeping bullets in a 10x10 square is easy out to 200, I really Like mine and I have both a 348 and 50 Alaskan.

Great rifle! Agree with JT, leave as is and shoot it. Oh and you wont even notice the recoil!! Shoot it with 250 gr bullets from prone with a T shirt, that's all you need..LOL.

Do an eBay search and try and find a vintage redfield, or Lyman, a new shiny version would look out of place to me on that well worn classic.
