Those stags may get rethought after a box of magnum loads.....Nice gun. Good luck with it!

You've hit upon one of my very favorites. The 19 and 66 in a 6" barrel K frame just feels right for my hand and my eye. I learned double action shooting with mine which made my single action seem like cheating.
There is a lot of smoke around the use of full load magnums all the time, but I don't believe I will ever see any problems in my lifetime. I have enjoyed my 19's so much already that I believe I've got my money out of it by now.
Congrats on a great choice. That K frame selection will keep you grinning for years.
Prescut I like the original wood grips better. They look clean, and just fit my hand.

The problem with loads vs model 19s is use 148gr and up preferable 158/160 etc the lighter high velocity 110, 125,130gr loads have caused the forcing cones to split and other issues that’s why they recommend in k frames heavier weight bullets.

I handload my own starting at 158 and usually more like 180. I shoot alot of Maximum and so am familiar with what happens with lighter weight bullets and flame cutting. It seems simple to me to just not do hot rodding with light weights. I push my tools, but I don't break them on purpose. Prescut
