As I have done for the last 30+ years, just as soon as my Guns Magazine/American Handgunner are retrieved from the mailbox, I sit down & read all the JT articles first thing...Now I know what to do with those extra 10/22 factory barrels that have been sitting around in my den gathering dust...Thank you Mr. Taffin!

They cut the front part off of a 10/22 barrel, thread it and install on a Single Six.
Makes for some neat little guns. I love these type of innovative ideas.

It's a 9 1/2" barreled .22 with the sight band. Did one in blue and one in stainless. Just flat out neat!

The whole barrel length thing for me...fits in a belt holster nicely, or needs a sling and a shoulder. The in between stuff is awkward for me. IMHO.

It was innovative when THE Mr. Jim Taylor (the father) did it with a Single Six and he added the 22 mag in one chamber... I've always wanted to get one put together like that.

Great timing. I mentioned not too long ago that I bought a nice, used 5.5" single six for the kids to shoot and it turns out they prefer the 9.5" barrel SS I have instead. So, we joked that it would be a good summer project for them to rebarrel it with a long barrel.. Hmm, now who has a nice new takeoff 10/22 barrel they want to get rid of cheap?

JT posted on the Reeder Guns Forum 1/4/2019. www.reedercustomguns.net/forum/index.php?id=70734Inspired, picked up one of the 6.5” Stainless Bisley 22’s, had brand spankin new stainless 10/22 barrel, aquired a Magnum Cylinder, #5 BM Basepin and decided to go to 12”,,, because I already have plenty 9.5” single sixes 22/32. Plus I have two 12” 45 Colt Buntlines, it should make a nice addition. 12” Bisley Buntline. Plan on shooting it more with the 22 magnum cylinder. In the process of getting it all together, pictures to follow when done. Now I need to round up the magazine article too

I have a 357 mag blackhawk someone rebarreled with the cut off end of a rifle barrel. It’s at least 12 inches long. The front sight was definitely on a rifle, it was way too high for a 357 revolver

Those are really slick! I can't believe I've never seen or heard about one of these before. Just how short can you go?
