That 32 is a hard one to pass up. Congrats! I've got a soft spot for Stroh guns. If he was still working today he'd be my #1 choice for a custom revolver, hands down. My most recent Stroh gun is a 1905 Bisley I've posted previously. Bowen front sight, S&W rear, stainless barrel tapped for a scope base, line-bored to 45 Colt with Auxillary line-bored cylinder in ACP/45 Cowboy, and a really, really nice action. The right side is marked in his usual manner, and it now wears fitted walnut from LGSC. I'm considering having Harton install a USFA blued barrel that I picked up, retaining the Bowen sight, and seeing if he can fit a Bowen Target sight to the top strap.

Not a Stroh build, but he installed one of his front sights, did the caliber markings, and his VERY nice hand-finish on this one.

My first Stroh gun was his personal "best-grade" gun. 44 mag bisley, fluted cylinder, Colt style bushing, his front sight with a stainless blade, blocked action, slots cut in the pins, Bowen rear, dowel ERH installation (as does the Colt above), custom base pin, jeweled transfer bar. The neat part is the half cock action, timed to reduce drag line, with hand-checkered hammer spur. Slick action, light trigger, a joy to index and load. IMO, the Ruger action can't be improved upon beyond what he did to this gun. It came with his extensive notes on loads and ransom rest testing. Jim ran a lot of 300+ grain hot loads through this one, and it shoots. If anyone has a Stroh gun to sell or trade, I'm always in the market be it a revolver or 1911. I'm sad I couldn't swing one of these 32s this time around.

I know Mr. Stroh retired years ago but I have to ask the question. Is Jim Stroh still alive? I saw someone was advertising a 9mm kimber for sale listed as being his personal carry gun from the late Jim Stroh and always wondered if that was true. I figured someone here would know for certain. Thanks
