Just got the Uberti Stallion .38 Target myself. Beautiful gun, shoots great, nice and petite. Never had a single action that did not leave a drag mark on the cylinder before this. I really like it, but I still carry a Single Seven .327 for every day.

I just picked up a bubba’ed .327 bisley. My intentions are to have it converted to .38 spl.

I have a Cimmaron Lightning in 38 Spl and a Single Six 6 shot 357 that mostly sees 38 specials. Actually, all my 357 handguns and rifles mostly get a diet of 38 special. I love shooting 38. When 22 ammo was scarce i could load 38 as cheap as i could buy 22 ammo for, even cheaper. It is a great cartridge.

While one can get excellent accuracy by firing special loads in magnum chambers, using full length brass generally allows bullets to center in chamber throats better. One can build some very accurate special level loads in mag brass. I, too, would just buy a 357 and start shooting.

I have a 2nd gen Colt 357 with a 38 special cylinder. It is a bit heavy but accuracy is AMAZING and is a joy to shoot. I too went to shooting 38's during the great 22 shortage, and never went back to the rimfires even though they are available (for now). My Ruger FT 357's rarely see a magnum round and the 38's shoot very well in them.

Joe S. has the right idea in my opinion. So do the other owners of similar guns.
I agree on having a replacement for rimfire revolvers, IF they don't weigh like a boat anchor.
I have spent several years trying to learn and exploit the Single Six Framed guns.
Now have them in some 15 centerfire calibers.
The Uberti 38 Special Target revolver is a perfect factory offering for this purpose. Ditto on the Single Six 32 Magnum and Single Sevens.
