The sheer possibility makes selling them a little easier.

But it really hurts when you pay more for a used one then you payed for it new! I don't think I've ever paid more to buy one back. Now...to buy a different one, that's a different situation. Think of it as an upgrade.....

I have possession of a Win 94 30/30 that my brother and I have swapped backen forth for forty years. He asked about it last fall but did want to pay for the new peep sight. Maybe I will get to keep it for a while.

I was able (luckily) to buy back this past summer a 45colt I traded to a friend years ago. Now I have both guns, the 44 I traded him for and the 45 I bought back from him.
