But he tells a great unsubstantiated story. All that aside, I’d like to have one

Heck, I had one (like most else at this point).
Got it in a partial trade for a Linebaugh custom because it was supposed to have good serial number placement but didn't.
Was unaware of what I had so I sold it. Onegoodshot I think maybe. The pharmacist in WV.....
Cost me a bundle to have the ones built I have but they're nice guns....

I still have that gun. It’s been a few years, but I had the gun for a while and realized it was a 44. Sent it back and got the 41. LOL

Unless Ruger builds another run of them, the few available may be all there will ever be. Maybe not too much, but only too soon?

Didn’t realize I had quoted the wrong post. I fixed it. Long story short I was sent a 44 flattop (I believe it was in a 41 box?maybe?). Didn’t realize it until some time later. We had to do an exchange. Greg’s problem (like many of you here) is that he has too many guns.
If I remember correctly you ended up with a certain octagon barreled 32 & 32-20 that I have been patiently waiting (sept 2015 but who’s counting...lol) for you to post for sale.
