www.gunbroker.com/item/797674104I debated posting this, as I know I am reaching for the top end of top dollar, but I thought I'd go ahead and at least let ya have a chuckle... I have a wedding to pay for...

Saw that, and it got me thinking about the value relative to what they're bringing.
The Ruger has the advantage of plentiful parts, plus lots of smiths to work on them. Linebaugh chose the Seville for his early conversions, and I'd say that is a strong vote of confidence.
Sevilles win out for the longer cylinder. You'd have to have an oversized cylinder made to bring the Ruger up to par- depending on your base gun investment, it's debatable whether you'd come out at or above the prices on stretch frame Sevilles.
Clements website: "All feature an oversize unfluted custom cylinder with recessed case heads fitted to frame with minimum endshake and headspace. Cylinder bearing surfaces inside frame are faced true, oversize #5 base pin with lock screw, steel ejector housing, HD pinned blade front sight, freewheeled cylinder, and .795" dia. bull barrel in your choice of length to 8" standard. Action is tightened and blocked. Barrel/cyl. gap set to .002-.003". Factory grips recontoured, sanded to frame and refinished. Action job with creep set to minimum @ 3-3.5#. These guns are detailed throughout for the best possible fit and finish. No extra charge for high polish blue or stainless steel guns. Load data furnished... 6 shot conversion with custom cylinder utilizing factory barrel to above specs: $1495"
I'd love to have a Max Seville. At a bit above that price point, I think the better shooter would be the customized Ruger. As far as getting your money back out of it some day, Seville all day long.
Good luck with your sale. From what I've seen, you're not at all out of line on price. I wish I was in a position to be a buyer, but I have a wedding to pay for too.

It is Joe. I gave Alan the challenge of rebuilding the top strap to duplicate a Freedom Arms top strap so I could use FA sights and more importantly, a FA Lovell scope mount. I had this gun built with the intent of scoping it and using it for antelope when I finally drew a tag after 19 years of applying. Kind of another unicorn gun.

Here you go with an oversized line bored 5 shot cylinder I have a set of stocks in the back of one of my safes that is from the same chunk of wood from Alan. Robb’s 414 is an amazing gun to hold. The balance will surprise you. Good luck on the Seville sale Joe!

About 5 guns ago I had the money ready to shell out for one of those but I missed the deal. I really should think of selling some of my own stuff to fund better stuff.
