Hectic work schedule delayed the starting of this project. But, finally got the base gun shipped to Jack. So begins the mate to my JRH 25-20 Single Six.
The 25-20 has been a raging success. As Fermin says, anybody not shooting Smallbore Revolvers is missing half the fun.
Gun Details are familiar. A 7.5" barrel, five shot cylinder with recessed case heads, #5 Keith Style Base Pin, etc. Grips will be gray/black laminated. Sights will be a narrow notch rear and Fermin front.
I was really amazed at the O.A.L. available in the JRH Conversions. Removal of the base pin latch really allows for a long cylinder. My 25-20 allows for a Cartridge Length of 1.660". I've requested the same on this build.
The 25-20 is blued steel, so went with stainless on this one. So, begins the wait...

Sounds like a great project. I saw an old 25-20 bullet mold on a table at a gun show this morning and thought “I haven’t heard that one in a while”.

How do you secure the base pin? Keith style latch?

How do you secure the base pin? Keith style latch? A screw in the base pin head engages a pocket in the bottom of the barrel. Just like the FAs.
