I decided to post some videos of my favorite packin' pistols. The first entry was a .45 Colt Ruger Vaquero with alloy grip frame and 3.75" barrel. The most recent was a 4" Redhawk in .45 Colt which I had cut for moonclips and converted to round butt. I'm not sure which revolver will be up next, but I'm leaning towards a light weight .500 JRH Bisquero. I've not done any videos like this before so please excuse the amateur video editing and let me know what you think. Any suggestions on content are welcome and appreciated. Thanks

Alaskan 454.... thanks for the videos. The edits----or lack thereof----are understandable with camera taped to your head. Good shooting, obviously not your first day on the job. Which, to shoot DOUBLE ACTION in winter, requires FORCEFUL RELEASE to RESET TRIGGER.
Question: is it not cumulative impact of backstrap----not hammer spur----which blisters the base of your thumb? David Bradshaw

I like the videos!
Quick talking, to the point lots of shooting and filled with enough information to keep you happy.
Looking forward to watching more of them!

Thanks for the comments gentlemen. I might try using a stationary camera for the next one, we'll see how it goes.
Bula - I'm in central MI right now, not too far from your neck of the woods if I had to guess. Unfortunately I don't have a 480 Alaskan YET. I sold my 454 Alaskan a while back with the intent on replacing it with a 480. I just haven't found a good deal when the cash was available. I did however find this older video of me shooting max 300gr Casull loads in an IDPA match. That was a fun day!
Mr. Bradshaw - I think it's a combination of both. It was kind of cold so I couldn't feel my hands as well as in warmer weather. What I suspect occurred is that my grip slipped early on and the hammer got me. Then firing 70-80 of the hotter loads allowed the backstrap to worsen the issue and create a large blister. I did not realize until afterwards that my gloves had a thick inner seam in the same spot. I'll need to use a different pair when shooting the Redhawk. I've shot my .454, .475, and .500 single actions with the same gloves so I thought they would be okay. Lesson learned there.
squigz - Thank you, I hope to post one or two per month if I have time.
