I have several USFA revolvers in several different calibers. Probably don't "need" one of these, but you never know...

Interesting, I went to Bud's web site and could not find anything. Did Bud's say when the sale began?

Add shows 7 different models. Now that I went back to the email I don’t know if they are reg price or sale priced.

I am a fan of the black powder framed single action revolvers (I used to own and shoot some 1st Gen Colt SAAs) and now have a small collection of BP framed USFAs. There was a rumor that Standard was bringing out a BP framed model in 44 WCF. I can't find anything more about it and they have not responded to an e-mail inquiry I sent them. If they do (bring out the gun) I may well become a Standard owner.

Rimfire,
I often shoot my black powder hand loads in those BP framed guns. Just seems appropriate. (smile)
My preference for the older style of retaining the cylinder pin started when I owned a collection of Flat-top Ruger Magnums. I routainly shot the cylinder pin out of them, occasionally on the ground in front of me and yes, I know about Base Mountain pins.
When I acquired my first early (1st Gen) Colt I never had a base pin come out. Even shooting full power BP, 45 Colt rounds (255g@900+ fps) the cylinder pins never loosened. After 10 years of shooting 1st Gen Colts with BP I became a believer.

I'd like to have a 4.75 inch in .44spl with proper cylinder throats. I really like the look, if the quality is there. Maybe Brian Pearce will do an article, soon.

I once had the screw back out in a black powder frame replica. I wrapped the screw with one wrap of plumbers Teflon tape & that fixed that.

Well, I plan on buying one myself in the near future... My biggest hope for this company is that they make it in the single action revolver business... They don't have all their eggs in one basket like USFA Co. did, & we all know here that whether we like it or not, the SAA market is limited in this day & age.

I'm also glad to see another quality SAA in the market. I wasn't in a position to buy during the peak of USFA, I wish I'd have bought one or two particular models before they went out of the revolver market.

Well my request has been answered. Pearce wrote it up in this month's Handloader. Says it is great, the right stuff with cylinder throats just right. There goes 2 grand............
