Lets not forget the gentleman in Ohio who is the originator of the Lil' Gun concept. OM 357 conversion to 41 Spec. with ribbed barrel and sambar stags.

NOT QUITE. ANDY BUILT THE FIRST L'IL GUN TO MY SPECIFICATIONS (AMERICAN HANDGUNNER SEP/OCT 1990) AND I GOT THE IDEA FROM THELL REED.

JT, I stand corrected my friend. I knew your project started Andy's L'il Gun activity but I didn't know you got the idea from Thell Reed. What was Thells thoughts or ideas on the concept that led you to have Andy to the first one?

JT, I stand corrected my friend. I knew your project started Andy's L'il Gun activity but I didn't know you got the idea from Thell Reed. What was Thells thoughts or ideas on the concept that led you to have Andy to the first one? ANDY AND I CORRESPONDED IN THE 1980s AND HE SENT ME .44 SPECIAL RUGER AND A WINCHESTE 1892 CONVERTED TO .44 SPECIAL. THELL HAD SHORT-BARRELELD A RUGER AND HAD IT CONVERTED TO .45 ACP USING 1911 MAGAZINES AS A SPEED LOADER. I SENT A RUGER OFF TO ANDY AND ASKED FOR A ROUND-BUTTED 4" BARRELED .44 SPECIAL. THAT BECAME THE FIRST OF MANY L'IL GUNS. BOTH JOHN LINEBAUGH AND DICK CASULL LOOKED AT THIS L'IL GUN AT THE FIRST SHOOTISTS HOLIDAY IN 1986 AND WERE VERY IMPRESSED WITH ANDY'S TALENTS.

I remember reading the article, was great as are all of J.T.'s. Another PPP. And Thell Reed is a great source. Check out his web site, thellreed.com. Some great video, including an appearance doing a FD Demo on the Ed Sullivan Show. Jayhawker Bob

Now I know THE REST OF THE STORY! Thanks JT for filling in the gaps for me. Say hi to Mrs. Dot for me if you will. Let her know I'm still paying for the stuff I buy from the wedding fund guns just like she told me to. I may be slow, but I do know how to follow the bosses directions! Especially when the boss likes gold accented revolvers!

That's a cool looking 41. Stag, aluminum, color case, blue go great together.
