Tuesday I boxed and got my ffl to mail my stainless Single Six Bisley 4 5/8 22lr/22mag to Huntington to get a action job. Today I did the same thing with my Bowen Perfect Bisley stainless 45Colt 4 5/8. But it’s going to Michael Gouse Freelance Engraving. Good thing are about to happen I think!

Mr. Huntington did his action job on my .45 Bisley Blackhawk. I am of the opinion it is the smoothest, cleanest trigger I have ever felt. I honestly didn't know how nice an expert gunsmith could make one. I am now educated. Holy Cow! I would love to see some pictures when you get them back. It should be a fun winter for you anticipating your new toys!

I had my Bowen at the club open house. One of the cowboy action guys wanted to see it and it gott passed around. One of the “experts “ asked to try the trigger and I said OK . After trying it a few time he said it was “Good but had a little creep. At that point he hands me his home done Ruger and says to try a real nice one and offered to do all mine for $25 ea. I am spending more in shipping to have them done right!

The system that I find that works for me is that I hide little money away for my projects and when it’s close to enough I buy/ send or start the next part/step or order the thing I want! MyBowen has been 2 1/2yr project and it’s not back I am hoping by spring.

Yes it fun to do some of the work. The Single Six started out as a plow handle and I fit the Bisley grip frame and swapped the hammer and trigger. I added the 2Dog,s front sight and have a rough country rear to fit. May reduce the blade width like the one LSCG did.
