2 Dogs - You, sir, are the next best thing to a time machine. I grew up reading about Skeeter and his love for the King Mirrored Ramp front sight. Having a couple on a few of my favorite revolvers would be a reminder and a tribute to some of my handgun heroes. Please consider me a customer if and when you put these in production. Can't wait to see how they work for you in the field. Best, Hugh Hugh, I sent you a PM for your contact information, perhaps you didn't see it. Let me know if you need one of these.

Fermin if you ever venture into fiber optic sights, I always thought a mirror under the fiber optic would be an interesting experiment.

I got my two sights from Fermin. They were waiting for me when I got back from my Dad's funeral a couple days ago. I had to turn right around and head back to the slope to work but will post a couple of pictures when I get back home. One will go on a Ruger Bisley 45 Colt. I'm not sure which one yet. I have a Lipsey CCH 5.5 inch and a regular blued 7.5 inch. I haven't wrung out the Lipseys enough yet to know if it shoots as well or better than the original. The better shooter will get the sight and the other will go down the road to fund more sights and smith work.
I haven't decided which of the other Bisleys will get the other sight.
I think it's awesome that Fermin is honoring the King legacy with these sights.

I recently built this sight for a client who had a genuine King Colt SAA with a botched front sight. While my other 2 designs, the original LR front and the pedestal front reflect a more modern representation this one is definitely a throwback. I wanted something that was more true to the original without becoming a out right copy. As such, this unit is different enough that it can no way be mistaken for an original.

I often have guys tell me that I share information freely. I usually respond by saying I have a network of guys I discuss things with first BEFORE I make some things public and they should see what we DON'T share. One of the things we discussed on the back channel was the best "angle" at which the mirror would reflect light on the front sight. I kept insisting the more shallow angle refracted more light than the steeper one. I think I can prove it here. You have to look carefully at this picture to see it, but the more shallow design refracts more light. Shown here with an original King Mirrored base. The pocket or cutout for the mirror on the original casts more of a shadow on it's mirror. If you look at the portion of the pocket where light is actually refracted toward the sight you can see the original is more narrow than it's 2019 counterpart. Just another little small detail but sixgun guys do tend to be picky!

I agree, the smaller sight does reflect more light than the larger mirrored base. Nice job Fermin.

It might. How would you control the size?

Some of those hipo magnets come as rods. I don’t know if you can machine them or not but maybe chuck it up in the lathe, turn it to diameter, face it, polish it, run a cut off tool in to cut off the first little mirror magnet then do it again? I dunno. It’s been a long time since I played swarf rat.

Amazon had magnets in al kinds of sizes- diameter and thickness. Let me know the dimensions of your mirrors and I'll try to find one the right size
Pretty sure magnets tend to shatter rather than cut.

I just received one of these beauties from Fermin & although my son hasn't got it mounted yet I can tell it's going to be great. This will be a very fun sight to play with. Thanks buddy, workmanship is great as usual.
