I received this 9mm Old Model cylinder from sathington today, he made me a good deal & it dropped right in, rotated & locked up like it was made for the gun. AND, it also lined up perfectly according to my service grade range rod. This Blackhawk has always been my favorite 357 shooter as my Dad bought it for me for my 1st birthday...Now I can also enjoy shooting it in my backyard range with my 9mm cast bullet handloads & I won't even have to chase brass...Thanks Nate!

Great looking gun and story! For what it is worth, my father never fired a gun or went hunting in his life. He passed in 2002 at 67yo.

A powder coated 358156 seated looong comes to mind. Well Sir, it just so happens that I have my two Ideal 358156 molds on deck for a casting session!

To check your crimp I would load 6 but only shoot five. Eject the last one and measure it with your calipers to see if it has "grown" in length. If it stays put you should be good to go. Probably going to be fun. Keep us informed!

Looks like it headspaces on the case mouth, I'll be using a taper crimp.

The gun looks great, Tom. Glad you're giving that cylinder a workout. It was just gonna rot away in my safe.
